Long Distance Walks in Lochaber

Along Loch Lochy

Fort William is the start/finish for two major long-distance walks.  The West Highland Way makes its way up through the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, across Rannoch Moor and over the Devil's staircase to finish in Fort William 95 miles later!  The Great Glen Way takes walkers along the country's most dramatic geological fault, through forests and alongside lochs.

Both these paths offer the opportunity to experience the tranquility, and wilderness of the Highlands of Scotland on foot, away from traffic and noise.

You can find out more about the two routes by clicking on the Great Days Out section, which should be renamed "Great Weeks Out" for this particular activity!
